President visits East Java to inaugurate two dams, plant rice

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) paid a working visit to East Java to inaugurate two dams and plant rice along with the farmers in Trenggalek District, East Java on Tuesday.

The head of state and his entourage departed for East Java aboard the presidential aircraft Indonesia-1 via the Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase in East Jakarta on Tuesday morning.

Shortly after arriving at the Iswahjudi Airbase in Magetan District, East Java, the president was scheduled to travel to Trenggalek aboard the Indonesian Air Force Super Puma helicopter.

In Trenggalek, the president will observe and inaugurate the Tugu and Gongseng dams and plant rice along with farmers in Buluagung Village.

Thereafter, the president and his entourage comprising Minister/State Secretary Pratikno, Chief of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, President’s Military Secretary Rear Marshal M. Tonny Harjono, Commander of the Presidential Security Detail Major General Tri Budi Utomo, and Presidential Secretariat’s Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media Affairs Bey Machmudin will return to Magetan.

From Magetan, the president will return to Jakarta on the same day.
