Prime Minister Announces Second Phase of Half-Half Plus Scheme

Bangkok: The Prime Minister has announced that a second phase of the Half-Half Plus scheme will soon be launched. Speaking after a Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, revealed that the program, which opened for registration on October 20th, has already reached its full capacity, prompting the need for an additional phase.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister mentioned that the budget for flood relief was approved during the meeting. He was also questioned about the dual nationalities of Mr. Ben Smith Bauerberger, to which he responded that multiple nationalities were involved but refrained from providing specific numbers until the process is completed.

In other matters, the Cabinet discussed the budget allocation for assisting flood victims. Reporters also sought details on allegations made by Police General Surachet Hakpal, former Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police. The allegations pertain to former MPs and politicians allegedly renting buildings in Cambodia for scam operations and online gambling. Mr. Anutin stated he had not yet received any reports on this issue.
