Bangkok: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has firmly denied reports alleging that Deputy Prime Minister Nat was involved in soliciting a 15 million baht donation from a temple, labeling the news as false and promising legal action against those responsible for spreading it.
According to Thai News Agency, the controversy arose after a news story, which quickly gained traction online, claimed that Anutin had criticized Maj. Gen. Nat Sri-in, Deputy Commander of the Second Army Region, for requesting the substantial donation. In response, Anutin took to his personal Facebook page to address the issue directly, sharing a photo of the circulated news story and emphatically denying its validity.
Anutin expressed his frustration, stating, “This news is fake. I want to confirm that those who read it should not believe it.” He further assured the public that legal experts would be engaged to pursue action against those responsible for disseminating the false information.
