Bangkok: Prime Minister Nu has disclosed that the cabinet list is nearing completion, with a precision rate of 99.9725%. He refrained from commenting on the appointments for the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Justice, highlighting that these decisions will be made by him with thorough scrutiny, focusing solely on the welfare of the populace.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul conveyed in an interview that the current cabinet list is almost finalized, with only minor adjustments needed to reach a full agreement. He emphasized that further details, especially concerning significant ministries like the Ministry of Justice, cannot be disclosed until the cabinet list receives royal endorsement. Until then, he is unable to comment or critique the list publicly.

Addressing the possibility of unexpected appointments, Mr. Anutin assured there would be none. The focus remains on inviting individuals with the requisite knowledge, experience, and commitment to their roles. He stressed that all ministers must be well-prepared and dedicated, with some having to transition from their government careers, as in the case of Mr. Ekniti Nitithanpraphat, the prospective Finance Minister, who has chosen to resign from his position to take on the new role.

When queried about the prospective Minister of Justice, Mr. Anutin stated that the appointee must be someone who prioritizes justice. He dismissed concerns about needing close oversight of the Department of Special Investigation, assuring that all parties involved are diligently performing their duties with the public’s best interests in mind.
