Prime Minister Oversees Appointment of 25 Police Generals.

Bangkok: The Prime Minister discussed with the National Police Commission to keep an eye on the appointment of 25 khaki generals. The Prime Minister chaired the meeting of the National Police Commission, focusing on the appointment of generals at the level of ‘Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, Assistant Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, Commander’, a total of 25 positions, stressing that they must be considered carefully and within the legal framework.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, chaired the Police Commission (P.C.) meeting No. 10/2024 at the Sriyanont Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Building 1, Royal Thai Police Office, Rama I Road, Pathum Wan District, Bangkok. The key agenda for today’s meeting was the consideration of the list of names for the appointment of police officers at the level of Deputy Commissioner General of the Royal Thai Police and Inspector General of the Royal Thai Police to Commander with the rank of Police General
to Police Lieutenant General for the year 2024.

Before the meeting began, the Prime Minister addressed that today’s police officer meeting would consider several matters according to the framework of the National Police Act and related regulations. She emphasized the need for careful consideration in the approval and selection of high-level executives, commander level and above, who possess the ability to manage, take responsibility, and respond to public services while maintaining peace and order in society. She urged the meeting attendees to ensure that the administration of the Royal Thai Police proceeds seamlessly, prioritizing the benefits of the government as the main focus.
