At noon today, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister and leader of the Pheu Thai Party, went on a boat to visit and give moral support to villagers affected by the floods in the Phumin-Tha Li community in Nan Municipality, where the water level is still more than 2 meters high. The Prime Minister gave out relief bags and drinking water to the villagers. Many people were glad that the Prime Minister came to visit and give moral support today.
Ms. Paethongtarn revealed after visiting the villagers that today she came with the local MPs to give encouragement to the villagers. She felt sympathy for the victims, who must give encouragement. Many people were so happy that they were in tears. If she is able to fulfill her duties as Prime Minister, she will urgent
ly find measures to help as much as possible. She also expressed her concern about the flood situation in the North that has flooded many provinces, including the water that will flow down to the Central region.
Ms. Paethongtarn also said that at first she was going to visit her brothers and sisters in Phrae who were affected by the floods, but the weather was not favorable. However, she asked her party’s MPs to help look after her. After this, the Prime Minister is scheduled to visit flood victims at Phra That Chae Haeng and Phu Phiang District.
