Government House: Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra announced that she has invited US President-elect Donald Trump to visit Thailand officially. This development followed a phone call between the two leaders, during which they discussed mutual cooperation and support.
According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister shared details of the conversation after a cabinet meeting, explaining that the phone call was facilitated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the call, both leaders exchanged congratulations, with Trump expressing belief in the continuous improvement of the Thai economy.
In the course of the discussion, Trump inquired about Thailand’s well-being, noting the positive trajectory of its economy. He also offered words of encouragement to the Prime Minister. In response, Paetongtarn extended an invitation to Trump to visit Thailand officially, should an opportunity arise.
