PTT Group Launches Initiative to Support Thai Farmers Amid Market Oversupply

Bangkok: PTT Group has unveiled a new initiative to support Thai farmers and address the issue of agricultural overproduction in the market. Partnering with the Department of Internal Trade (DIT) and the Ministry of Commerce, PTT Group is actively participating in government efforts to assist farmers during times of surplus production.

According to Thai News Agency, the project titled 'PTT Group Invites You to Bring Smiles to Farmers' aims to provide a platform for farmers to sell their produce directly. This initiative will showcase a variety of agricultural products, including longans from Lamphun Province, fragrant coconuts from Ratchaburi Province, and other fruits and vegetables from Nakhon Pathom and Phetchaburi Provinces. The event is scheduled to take place at the lobby of Building C, Energy Complex Co., Ltd. (EnCo), on July 29-30, 2025. The event will be graced by the presence of Dr. Prasert Sinsukprasert, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, and Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, CEO and President of PTT Public Company Limited, who will offer a warm welcome to attendees.

Additionally, PTT Group is collaborating with farmers to purchase their produce directly, ensuring distribution to a wide network that includes hospitals, schools, nursing homes, and PTT Station customers around Bangkok and its surrounding areas. This direct purchasing strategy aims to support the agricultural community by ensuring their produce reaches a broad customer base.

PTT Group's commitment to supporting Thai farmers aligns with their vision of reinforcing community economies and promoting sustainable growth both within Thailand and globally. This initiative reflects their ongoing dedication to the welfare of Thai society and the agricultural sector.
