Farmers in the central province of Quang Tri are in a hurry to prepare soil for the 2024 Summer-Autumn crop in order to complete the sowing by May 20 at the latest. The province plans to cultivate this year’s summer-autumn rice crop on over 25,000 hectares, mainly using short-duration and drought-tolerant varieties, and to harvest the crop before August 30 to avoid the flood season, which annually begins from September.
