Surat thani: Police arrested a Thai woman and her Malaysian call center gang at a bank in Surat Thani city center while they were withdrawing money from a mule account.
According to Thai News Agency, police from Surat Thani City Police Station and Khun Thale Police Station jointly arrested two Malaysian men and Ms. Nisa, the bank mule, along with 485,000 baht in cash. The suspects were arrested while Ms. Nisa was withdrawing the money from a bank scam. They coordinated with Surat Thani police to track down the suspects and apprehend them.
The operation occurred after police received a report that Mr. Charan, the money mule, had withdrawn money at the counter of a bank in Thung Song, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Police followed up and investigated, discovering that Ms. Nisa was behind the arrangement of the mule account and was withdrawing money at a bank branch in a shopping mall in Surat Thani. They then arrested her.
In addition, investigators discovered that the seized funds were transferred from Ms. Kanisa’s bank account. They will therefore expand their investigation to arrest the remaining members of the gang and prosecute them according to the law.
