Bangkok: The Royal Thai Army has transported five soldiers, who were injured in recent border fighting with Cambodia, to Phramongkutklao Hospital in Bangkok for further medical treatment. The soldiers were initially treated at Sapphasitthiprasong Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani Province before being airlifted to the capital.

According to Thai News Agency, the soldiers were transported using a C295 aircraft, commonly known as CASA. The plane departed from Ubon Ratchathani Province and landed at the Aviation Division, Army Transportation Center, Don Mueang Airport at 11:50 a.m. Upon arrival, officers from the Royal Project Police and Army Police ensured a swift and secure transfer to Phramongkutklao Hospital, with the journey taking approximately 20 minutes.

As the soldiers arrived at the hospital, they were met with praise from the public, who commended them for their service and bravery. The community encouraged them to focus on their recovery. The soldiers include Lt. Thanawut Wetchasongkhro, Sgt. Maj. Thani Phaha, Sgt. Tan Seesai, Volunteer Defense Corpsman Sittidet Sawatsungnoen, and Private Weerathat Sukprasert.
