Pattani: The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army has conducted an inspection of the 44th Ranger Regiment Task Force in Pattani Province, emphasizing the need for personnel at all levels to be up-to-date with the current situation and prepared to address challenges in the region to ensure the safety of the population.
According to Thai News Agency, on the second day of his mission in the southern border provinces, General Pana Klaewplodthuk, who serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army and Deputy Director of Internal Security Operations Command, led a delegation of Army commanders to inspect the 4401st Ranger Company in Thung Kla Subdistrict, Sai Buri District, Pattani Province. Major General Worawut Dechraksa, Deputy Commander of the 4th Army and Deputy Director of Internal Security Operations Region 4 Forward Command, warmly welcomed the delegation.
During the visit, the Commander-in-Chief engaged with the commanders of the 44th Ranger Regiment, led by Colonel Nattawut Srisang. The discussions took place in a friendly and intimate setting, focusing on the situation within the unit’s area of responsibility, which includes 16 Ranger Companies and 1 Female Ranger Platoon across four districts: Sai Buri, Thung Yang Daeng, Mai Kaen, and Kapho. He provided additional guidance, stressing the importance of staying informed, learning from incidents, and planning operations that align with each area’s specific needs. The Commander-in-Chief also highlighted the importance of collaboration with government agencies, local leaders, and the public to effectively address issues impacting the community’s well-being comprehensively and sustainably.
The Army Commander concluded his visit by inspecting the base of operations and distributing consumer goods to uplift the morale of the troops. These troops are recognized for their strength, endurance, and sacrifice in maintaining the safety of the people against violent groups in the southern border provinces.
