Bangkok: The Royal Thai Army organized a rehearsal for the parade and oath-taking ceremony of the Royal Guards at the Royal Plaza of Dusit Palace. Today marks the third rehearsal to ensure readiness and completeness of the ceremony sequence before the actual event scheduled for Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
According to Thai News Agency, on this occasion, General Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana will lead the parade of the Royal Guards and the Royal Guards of the three armed forces in her role as ‘Commander of the Combined Forces’. Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya will lead the procession of the Royal Cavalry Regiment as ‘Commander of the Royal Cavalry Regiment’.
The parade will feature personnel from various units, including the Royal Guards Department, Royal Palace Guards Department, Royal Guards Headquarters, Royal Security Command, and Royal Guard Cadets from the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy. ts include Royal Guard units from the Infantry Regiment, Cavalry Regiment, Artillery Regiment, Marine Corps Command, and Air Force Command, alongside 25th Cavalry Battalion, 4th Cavalry Regiment, Royal Guard; 2nd Infantry Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, Royal Guard; 102nd Artillery Battalion, 2nd Artillery Regiment, Royal Guard; and 1st Infantry Battalion, Royal Guard, 1st Infantry Regiment, Marine Division, Marine Corps Command, and Royal Cavalry Regiment.
During the rehearsal, the Royal Guards demonstrated their readiness, strength, unity, and the completeness of the ceremonial sequence, emphasizing their loyalty to His Majesty the King, the Supreme Commander of the Thai Armed Forces. The Royal Thai Army extends an invitation to the public to watch the live broadcast of the Royal Parade and Oath-Taking Ceremony of the Royal Guards on the occasion of His Majesty the King’s 60th Birthday Anniversary.
