Bangkok: The Royal Thai Army has received a significant financial boost to support its troops stationed on the Thai-Cambodian border. This assistance comes courtesy of the 66th National Defence College, aimed at bolstering the morale and living conditions of the soldiers.
According to Thai News Agency, the donation event took place at the 321 reception room of the Royal Thai Army Headquarters. Leading the initiative were Mr. Sopon Racharaksa, Deputy Managing Director of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, and Ms. Piyathida Praditbatuka, who, along with their cohort from the 66th National Defense Course, presented funds and supplies valued at over 1,000,000 baht. Lt. Gen. Boonsin Phadklang, Commander of the 2nd Army Region, accepted the donations on behalf of the soldiers serving on the border.
The Commander of the 2nd Army Region expressed heartfelt gratitude to the National Defence Volunteers, emphasizing that the support would be fully utilized to enhance the soldiers’ living conditions. He highlighted the importance of the donations in providing necessary supplies, including medical resources, which are crucial for maintaining security and readiness along the border.
The Royal Thai Army conveyed its appreciation to all contributors for their unwavering support, assuring that the soldiers remain committed to safeguarding Thailand’s sovereignty and upholding national values.
