Sisaket: The Senate committee visited Sisaket to encourage evacuees at the shelter. The Senate held a “Senate” public meeting, visiting the Si Sa Ket area to offer support to refugees affected by clashes along the Thai-Cambodian border. The aim was to listen to their concerns and confirm that they would coordinate with relevant agencies to provide full assistance.
According to Thai News Agency, a group of senators under the “Senators Meet the People” project visited a temporary refugee shelter in Sisaket Province to visit and offer support to people affected by the clashes along the Thai-Cambodian border. The Senate, led by Mr. Thawat Suraban, a senator and former governor of Sisaket Province, along with four other senators, namely Mr. Isara Bunsongchan, Mr. Thanapat Tuangwilai, Mr. Charun Klintalop, and Ms. Sumitra Charukamnerdkanok.
The Senate members spoke with the public, inquiring about their hardships and living conditions, and offered words of encouragement. They confirmed that the Senate and government agencies have not abandoned them and are working diligently to resolve the situation and return to normalcy as quickly as possible.
In addition, the Senate members, together with officials and volunteers, provided lunch to the public and all staff working at the shelter to boost morale and spirits. Mr. Thawat Suraban said, “Today’s visit not only provides moral support, but also directly listens to the concerns and needs of our citizens. This information will be used to coordinate with relevant agencies to provide prompt and targeted assistance. We are all concerned for the safety and well-being of everyone, and we wish you all strength and strength to overcome this situation.”
