Bangkok: The Senate meeting, chaired by Mr. Boonsong Noisophon, Second Vice President of the Senate, considered and voted to approve nine individuals nominated to serve as judges of the Supreme Administrative Court.
According to Thai News Agency, the nominees were approved by majority votes during the Senate session. Mr. Wisut Wajanasathiankul, President of the Central Administrative Court, received 148 votes in favor, 1 vote against, and 19 abstentions. Ms. Siraphat Chokwiseschaisith, Chief Justice of the Administrative Court of First Instance of the Supreme Administrative Court, secured 151 unanimous votes in favor, with 21 abstentions.
Mr. Chiewchan Sukchuai, Chief Justice of the Suphan Buri Administrative Court, garnered 154 unanimous votes in favor, with 20 abstentions. Mr. Prasak Siripanich, Chief Justice of Phitsanulok Administrative Court, received 157 votes in favor, 1 vote against, and 19 abstentions.
Ms. Amara Sajjasai, Chief Justice of Phetchaburi Administrative Court, was approved with 158 unanimous votes in favor, alongside 17 abstentions. Mr. Jamat Chumphonwong, President of Rayong Administrative Court, received 153 votes in favor, 1 vote against, and 17 abstentions.
Mr. Sinith Sinithanon, Chief Justice of the Nakhon Ratchasima Administrative Court, was endorsed with 158 unanimous votes in favor, with 20 abstentions. Mr. Phraiwat Tosawat, Chief Justice of Khon Kaen Administrative Court, received 156 votes in favor, 1 vote against, and 21 abstentions. Lastly, Ms. Mariam Wimolthorn, Chief Justice of the Administrative Court of First Instance of the Supreme Administrative Court, secured 153 unanimous votes in favor, with 21 abstentions.
