Bangkok: Senator Natchapong Wongmulalee has filed a formal complaint at Bang Pho Police Station after discovering that his signature was forged on a crucial document. This document, which he denies authorizing, was submitted to the Senate President and subsequently led to the Constitutional Court ordering 136 senators to cease performing their duties.
According to Thai News Agency, Senator Natchapong took action after an acquaintance informed him of the document circulating on the Line application. The document falsely indicated his support for a senator, complete with his signature, being submitted to the Senate President. This prompted the senator to report the forgery to authorities, citing concerns over potential impersonation and damage to his reputation and assets.
Senator Natchapong emphasized his lack of involvement with the document, stating, “I have never seen the document in question before, nor have I signed it, nor have I authorized anyone to sign on my behalf.” He filed a report to document the incident as evidence but clarified that he currently has no intention of pursuing prosecution against the individual responsible for the forgery.
