Ranong: “Ja Ja Coffee,” a cherished cafe in the heart of Ranong, has been a staple for over two decades. Owned by Thananon Nirasit, affectionately known as Ja, the cafe holds a special connection as the sweetheart of Prime Minister-elect Anutin Charnvirakul.
According to Thai News Agency, Ja Ja Coffee is situated on Phetkasem Road near the Ranong Provincial Stadium intersection. This medium-sized establishment is renowned not only for its fresh coffee but also for its array of Ranong souvenirs. Among the popular items are shrimp paste, cashew nuts, and uniquely designed batik fabric clothing and bags, which have become a standout feature of the shop.
Fern, a regular patron of Ja Ja Coffee, shared her experiences of encountering Mr. Anutin on three occasions. She described him as a welcoming and amiable presence, always taking the time to greet both staff and fellow customers. Known for his preference for an extra shot of espresso, Mr. Anutin also enjoys dishes such as catfish and mackerel, minced pork and basil soup, and minced pork in plum soup during his visits.
