Mr. Panya, 36 years old, a suspect with an arrest warrant from the Criminal Court No. 4738/2567 dated September 27, 2567, was arrested by the Human Trafficking Suppression Division (HPD) of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) on the side of the Ban Kluai-Sai Noi Road in Bang Bua Thong District, Nonthaburi Province after he had continuously raped women. On September 25, he pretended to contact a 19-year-old Burmese woman who had posted a job advertisement on social media to work as a housekeeper. When the victim believed him and agreed to work, Mr. Panya rode his motorcycle to pick her up. However, on the way, he took her to a hotel, assaulted her, raped her, and abandoned her on the side of the road, taking her phone. After the incident, the victim filed a complaint to take legal action, so the police investigated and were able to track d
own and arrest him.
From the investigation, Mr. Panya still denied the charges, claiming that it was a purchase of sexual services. However, from the background check, it was found that in May 2024, the suspect had previously committed a similar crime against a 19-year-old Laotian migrant worker. The victim reported the incident to Bang Bua Thong Police Station. Another case was committed in August 2024. The victim was a Burmese woman in Sikhio District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. At the time of the arrest, the suspect was still out on bail fighting the previous case, but was still confident enough to commit this crime without fear of the law. Therefore, it is believed that there may be other victims. The authorities will investigate and expand the results. Initially, Mr. Panya was charged with using force to assault while the other person was unable to resist, committing indecent acts against a person over fifteen years old by using force to assault while the other person was unable to resist, and taking a
nother person away for indecent acts.
