Bangkok: The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has made a significant contribution to aid educational recovery in Nan Province, which was impacted by Tropical Storm Wipha.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Asadej Kongsiri, Director and President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, presented 22 computers and network systems, along with vital equipment such as switching hubs, printers, uninterruptible power supplies, and office supplies, to the Nan Provincial Learning Promotion Center. The total value of this donation exceeds 500,000 baht. The support is aimed at quickly restoring the operations of the Non-Formal Education Quality Assessment Testing Center, which provides equivalency exams for students and the public. The initiative seeks to minimize the educational disruption and reduce the risk of individuals missing out on educational and career opportunities.
The handover ceremony was attended by Linthiporn Warinwatchararoj, Deputy Minister of Education, and SET executives. This effort is part of the SET’s ongoing support, which has included distributing relief packages to those affected by floods in the region. The SET remains vigilant in monitoring the situation and stands ready to offer further assistance to help affected people resume normal life swiftly.
