Bangkok: The SME Bank is actively promoting liquidity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and supporting franchisees at the SMART SME EXPO 2025. This effort is part of the bank’s initiative to provide a comprehensive suite of support measures under the “SME Bank Ready to Guarantee” program, which aims to facilitate easier access to funding for SME entrepreneurs, franchise businesses, and freelancers, even in the absence of collateral.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Kittipong Buranasiri, Deputy General Manager of the Strategy and Product Division at the Small and Medium Enterprise Credit Guarantee Corporation (TCG), attended the expo’s opening ceremony. The event, held from August 7-10 at Halls 7-8, Impact Muang Thong Thani, showcased the bank’s commitment to empowering SME entrepreneurs through financial support and advisory services.
At the expo, SME Bank is offering free consultations through its “Debt Doctor” team and experts from the SME Financial Advisory Center (FA Center). These consultations are designed to assist entrepreneurs who need liquidity enhancement but lack sufficient collateral, enabling them to secure loans from financial institutions. A key component of this initiative is the “SMEs Micro Biz” program, which provides a total credit limit of 2 billion baht and guarantees ranging from 10,000 to 500,000 baht per case. This program is tailored for online merchants, freelancers, and startups, featuring a waiver of fees for the first three years, followed by a payment of only 1.5% per year for the subsequent years, with the guarantee valid for up to seven years.
Additionally, the “SMEs PICK-UP” program targets entrepreneurs seeking to purchase pickup trucks for their businesses. This program offers a maximum guarantee of 1.5 million baht per customer for seven years or 84 installments. The first three years are free of fees, with a fee of only 1.5% for the remaining years. This initiative aims to reduce the cost of vehicle acquisition for income generation. Interested parties can explore these opportunities at the TCG booth at the SMART SME EXPO 2025, where they can also receive free consultations and a financial health check.
