Social Media Buzz: Hotel Employee Grabs Hair and Demands 1,000 Baht

Pattaya: Social media is buzzing! A hotel employee grabbed a woman’s hair and demanded 1,000 baht, claiming to return it to a customer. The victim then filed a police report.

According to Thai News Agency, a Facebook user posted a question online, “Can an employee yank a customer’s head like this? If they can’t handle it, they should take them to the police station. They shouldn’t yank a customer’s head like this, even though the employee has already finished their work and the customer has already let them out of the hotel.” They also posted a video clip of the incident.

Later, reporters went to the scene and found the two victims, who were seen in the video clip, being held back by hotel staff from leaving the hotel.

She told the story that she had taken on a job entertaining foreign customers for 1,000 baht per hour per person. After the job was over, the customers paid each person 1,000 baht. When they were about to leave the hotel, the hotel staff wouldn’t let them leave, claiming they would return 1,000 baht to the customers. The customers never asked for the money back, as the hotel staff had claimed.

The two later filed a report with the Pattaya City Police Station, seeking assistance and will pursue legal action against the hotel employee to the fullest extent of the law.
