Squadron 416 Chiang Rai opens area for furniture disposal


The Royal Thai Air Force, by Squadron 416 Chiang Rai, together with Chiang Rai Municipality, opened an area for people to dispose of mud and furniture scraps to help restore houses affected by floods.

Air Chief Marshal Panphakdi Phatthanakul, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force, ordered Squadron 416 Chiang Rai, a unit under the Royal Thai Air Force, to open an area for people to dump mud to restore houses affected by flooding. He joined Mr. Wanchai Chongsuthanamanee, Mayor of Chiang Rai Municipality, in providing full assistance to the people in the area. The area can be used to bury a large amount of mud and furniture scraps to alleviate the people’s suffering and allow them to return to their normal lives as soon as possible.

For the area in question, it is an old airport area that looks like a gun handle, covering a total area of ??approximately 10 rai. It can be used to bury mud and furniture scraps by digging the ground to a depth of approximately 4 meters. The operation is similar to diggi
ng a garbage pit, where the ground will be leveled so that it can be used as before. For the operation process, Wing Commander Pramote Kuikaew, Commander of Squadron 416, has been assigned to oversee, coordinate the operation, and provide close convenience to Chiang Rai Municipality.
