Bangkok: The Governor of the State Railway of Thailand visited the "Train Aid Center for Border Disaster Relief" and emphasized the close supervision of donated items, ensuring that all items are delivered to their destination stations in a timely and complete manner. Mr. Veerit Amrapal, Governor of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), visited the Krungthep Aphiwat Central Station to inspect the Border Rescue Train's Kindness Center and inspect the preparation and transportation of donated items to target areas in the Northeast. The train, aboard Express Train No. 139, travels from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani. This is part of the urgent mission under the "Border Rescue Train's Kindness Center," a SRT-operated center established to serve as a hub for receiving and distributing aid nationwide, ensuring rapid and comprehensive distribution.
According to Thai News Agency, the Governor of the State Railway of Thailand also instructed officials to closely monitor donated items to ensure they are delivered to their destination stations in a comprehensive and timely manner. He also emphasized facilitating the well-being of the public who come to donate items at various donation points, ensuring they are well-maintained and systematically managed.
The items delivered on this trip included dried food, consumer goods, drinking water, medicine, and a variety of essential items, such as instant noodles, canned fish, coffee, and pet food. Donations have been continuously being made by people at main donation points in Bangkok, including participating Isan railway stations throughout the past day.
