Bangkok: “Suang” is set to engage with coalition parties this evening to reach a decision on the position of the 2nd Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. The final decision is anticipated to be made by Thursday.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Surawong Thienthong, the Minister of Tourism and Sports and Secretary-General of the Pheu Thai Party, mentioned that discussions about selecting the second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives are expected to occur during a coalition government dinner. These discussions aim to finalize the decision by Thursday, July 24, 2015.
Mr. Surawong indicated that there has been preliminary discussion regarding which party would be allocated the quota. It is suggested that the Pheu Thai Party might receive this quota. However, Mr. Surawong emphasized that the final decision will be made based on what is deemed appropriate. He expressed confidence that discussions will proceed smoothly, indicating no major concerns.
