Supachai Confirms Anutin’s Success in Seizing Over 137 Million Meth Pills

Bangkok: “Supachai” confirmed that Anutin has achieved clear results in tackling drug trafficking networks. Over the past two years, no less than 137.37 million methamphetamine pills and 2.5 tons of crystal methamphetamine have been seized.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Supachai Jaisamut, Chairman of the Legal Working Group of the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed allegations against Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul. Anutin, a former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, faced criticism for supposedly lacking achievements in drug suppression during his tenure. Supachai refuted these claims, stating that despite not being the main agency, they did not neglect their duties. He emphasized that the notion of no achievements in drug suppression is a misrepresentation of facts.

Supachai highlighted that since Anutin’s appointment as Minister of Interior, his efforts in drug suppression have been evident. Notably, there have been multiple press conferences about the arrests of major drug dealers. Between 2023 and 2025, significant arrests have been made, resulting in the seizure of 137.37 million methamphetamine pills and 2.5 tons of crystal methamphetamine. The Ministry of Interior, with cooperation from relevant sectors, has continuously worked to apprehend drug dealers, Supachai stated.
