Bangkok: Suphajee Suthumpun, the Minister of Commerce, has tasked the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) with accelerating the “Quick Big Win” program to boost exports by leveraging data-driven technology. The initiative is expected to yield an impressive 8.9 billion baht in trade value over the next four months.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Suphajee Suthumpun recently outlined her operational policy to DITP, emphasizing a strategy of “short-term stimulus, long-term gains, and distribution.” This approach aims to achieve immediate results while establishing a sustainable foundation for future growth. The department plans to harness data-driven insights to tailor product- and market-specific trade promotion strategies, adapting to global changes and addressing the needs of Thai entrepreneurs effectively.
Ms. Sunantha Kangwalkulkit, Director-General of DITP, disclosed that the “Quick Big Win” policy aims to deliver tangible economic benefits between October 2025 and January 2026. The ini
tiative targets generating 8.91 billion baht in trade value and assisting over 1,270 entrepreneurs. It includes 20 proactive export promotion activities aimed at achieving 8.4 billion baht in trade value. Additionally, three Special Task Forces are set to focus on Western China, ASEAN, and India, with a combined target of 190 million baht. Online business matching activities are expected to contribute 220 million baht, while SMEs will gain opportunities through 43 international trade exhibitions, aiming for a 100 million baht trade value.
Furthermore, the DITP will continue domestic and international marketing promotion activities. This includes organizing trade delegations and high-level missions to explore new markets, overcome trade barriers, and bolster confidence in Thai products. The department will also extend support to SMEs through the SMEs Proactive project, which in 2025 aided over 290,000 entrepreneurs, resulting in trade negotiations worth over 175.7 billion baht.
