Surapong Directs Transport Company to Mobilize Buses Amid Thai-Cambodian Border Unrest

Bangkok: "Surapong" has instructed the Transport Company to mobilize buses to assist individuals affected by the unrest on the Thai-Cambodian border. The Deputy Minister of Transport, Mr. Surapong Piyachote, emphasized the need for the Transport Company to closely monitor the situation and prepare to support public transport needs in coordination with security agencies.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Atthavit Rakjamroon, Managing Director of Transport Co., Ltd. (BKS), stated that the company has been ordered to prepare buses to help the public if called upon by security agencies. The company is actively monitoring developments on the Thai-Cambodian border to ensure readiness in assisting with transportation needs.

In response to the ongoing unrest, bus operators have announced the suspension of the 4th route, Bangkok-Buntharik, starting from July 24, 2025. This suspension will remain in effect until the situation stabilizes. Passengers are advised to directly contact their respective bus operators for further details and updates.
