Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, revealed that from the incident of a single-decker bus burning in front of Zeer Rangsit, there were 39 students and 6 teachers on the bus that had the accident. In this regard, Mr. Surapong Piyachote, Deputy Minister of Transport, has been assigned to urgently call a meeting of the Department of Land Transport (DLT) to discuss the incident, including preparing to increase stricter preventive measures to prevent a repeat
of the accident, and to thoroughly study the lessons learned to bring them to correct the operating process, which will take into account the highest level of passenger safety.

Mr. Chirut Wisanjit, Director-General of the Department of Land Transport, continued that for the fact-finding, at this time, if it is found that it is the fault of the transport operator, Ms. Panisara Chinbut, the bus with the registration number 30-0423 Singburi, will immediately suspend the transport operation license and will proceed with the highest level of legal action. At this time, the operator’s license has been temporarily suspended. The accident is under investigation to find the clear cause. In addition, he warned other operators to prioritize the safety of the passengers. For the inspection of the said bus, engineers have been ordered to inspect it and thoroughly check the safety equipment.
