Bangkok: Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, has expressed uncertainty over whether the Cabinet is considering dissolving the House of Representatives. He has refrained from commenting on whether the caretaker government currently possesses the authority to dissolve parliament.
According to Thai News Agency, Suriya, a key leader of the Pheu Thai Party, mentioned that he is unaware if the discussion about dissolving Parliament will take place in today’s Cabinet meeting. He further stated that he has not participated in any discussions within the Pheu Thai Party on this subject.
Suriya indicated his intent to seek clarification from Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, who is acting on behalf of the Prime Minister. This step is aimed at obtaining more information on whether the caretaker government can proceed with the dissolution of Parliament.
