BANGKOK: The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has teamed up with Central Pattana Public Company Limited and key partners from both public and private sectors to launch a significant campaign aimed at invigorating the Thai economy in the final quarter of the year. The initiative, titled ‘The World’s Great Celebration 2025,’ is set to kick off from November 1, 2024, to January 5, 2025, with the goal of increasing tourist numbers and spending by 25-30 percent.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, Chief Marketing Officer of Central Pattana Plc., highlighted that the company is collaborating with notable partners, including the Embassy of Finland, TAT, Finnair, and several private entities, to create a distinctive Theme Experience at Central shopping malls across the country. This includes the Santa Village Themed Park Experience, which aims to enhance Thailand’s status as a World-Class Destination. The campaign will feature Mega Magnet Events throughout the year, specifically targetin
g various tourist demographics such as Chinese tourists, solo travelers, couples, families, and visitors from neighboring countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, as well as long-distance tourists from Russia, the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
Mr. Nithee Seeprae, Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications at TAT, stated that the organization is focused on positioning Thailand as a Tourist Hub by leveraging events and the Soft Power selling points in the F-Festival dimension to promote year-end tourism. The objective is to attract 36.7 million tourists by the end of 2024, generating an estimated income of 3.5 trillion baht. Central Pattana’s nationwide presence plays a crucial role in supporting this strategic policy.
