Bangkok: The Meteorological Department has indicated that temperatures in the northern region of Thailand are set to decrease by an additional 1-2 degrees Celsius. According to Thai News Agency, the upper part of the country will experience cool weather in the morning, while the lower Northeastern areas may see light rain.
A high-pressure system combined with a moderate to strong cold air mass from China is moving over the upper part of Thailand, contributing to the temperature drop. In the lower Northeast, light rain is expected, whereas the eastern region may face thunderstorms due to southeasterly winds blowing across the area. Residents in these regions are advised to take precautions as health concerns may arise from these weather changes.
The southern region of Thailand is forecasted to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall due to a monsoon trough and a low-pressure cell moving across the area. Affected communities, particularly those near hillsides, waterways, and lowlands, are warned about potenti
al flash floods and forest runoff. Meanwhile, moderate waves are anticipated in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea, with higher waves during thunderstorms. Sailors are urged to navigate cautiously and steer clear of storm-prone areas.
In Bangkok and its surrounding areas, temperatures are expected to range between a minimum of 24-26 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 32-34 degrees Celsius.
