Thai-Cambodian Military Talks Postponed Indefinitely

Bangkok: The Royal Thai Army has announced an indefinite postponement of military talks between Thai and Cambodian soldiers. These discussions, intended to facilitate cooperation and mutual understanding between the two nations’ armed forces, have been delayed without a rescheduled date.

According to Thai News Agency, Army spokesman Maj. Gen. Winthai Suvari stated that the meeting involving key military leaders from both countries has not been arranged yet. The talks were supposed to include Thai representatives such as Lt. Gen. Amrit Bunsuya, Commander of the 1st Army Region, and Lt. Gen. Boonsin Phadklang, Commander of the 2nd Army Area. On the Cambodian side, Lt. Gen. Pov Heng, Commander of the 4th Military Region, and Gen. Aek Somone, Commander of the 5th Military Region, were expected to participate. Although originally planned for 10:00 a.m., the meeting has not been rescheduled, but efforts to organize it are ongoing.
