Bangkok: The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has reported that in the first eight months of 2025, a total of 563 companies listed on the Thai stock market distributed approximately 500 billion baht in dividends. The banking sector emerged as the leader with a dividend payout totaling 140 billion baht.
According to Thai News Agency, SET Note published a report from the Stock Exchange of Thailand’s research department, highlighting that the companies listed on both the Stock Exchange of Thailand and the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI) paid dividends 593 times. The total payout amounted to over 499,358 million baht to shareholders. The report indicated that while most companies distributed dividends once, 30 companies made payouts twice during this period.
The dividend payment season, spanning from March to May 2025, saw companies making dividend payments 534 times, accounting for 90.1% of the total dividend distribution. May recorded the highest number and value of dividend payments. The banking sector was the top contributor with over 140,878 million baht, followed by the Energy and Utilities sector with over 105,873 million baht, and the Information and Communication Technology sector with 70,936 million baht in dividends.
