Bangkok: The government has announced that mothers and children are invited to join in National Mother’s Day activities on August 12, 2025, with free entry to national parks and zoos across the country.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Sasikan Wattanachan, Deputy Government Spokesperson, emphasized the celebration of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother’s birthday, marking National Mother’s Day. The public is encouraged to participate in various activities organized nationwide without any charge.
The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation has eliminated entry fees for Thai citizens and their vehicles into protected forest areas. This initiative covers national parks, forest parks, botanical gardens, arboretums, wildlife sanctuaries, and aims to foster conservation tourism. Moreover, the Zoological Park Organization of Thailand (ZPOT) has extended a special invitation for families to enjoy the natural settings and wildlife on Mother’s Day. On August 12, 2025, seniors aged 60 and above, as well as children under 12 years or those with a height not exceeding 135 centimeters, will receive free admission to all six zoos under ZPOT, including Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Chiang Mai Zoo, and others.
