Thammanat Refuses to Discuss Cabinet List, Assures Unity in Prime Ministerial Vote

Bangkok: Thammanat declined to discuss the cabinet list, stating that the only issue discussed was finding a solution for the country. He boasted that the prime ministerial vote tomorrow would not be a single one of Kla Tham’s dissidents and would not interfere with other parties, following Chaikasem’s video clip, emphasizing his support for the vote and the dissolution of parliament.

According to Thai News Agency, Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao, advisor to the Kla Dham Party, addressed the news about the Kla Dham Party’s cabinet lineup, saying that there was no such thing. It was a matter of speculation, and that there had been no discussions about it, nor was it part of the agreement. The only focus was finding a solution for the country. He emphasized that no other matters were discussed, and that he would carry out his party’s duties as promised.

As for concerns about a potential debate, Lt. Col. Thammanat said it’s normal and everyone needs to be prepared. Regarding the Kla Tham Party, he mentioned that members have been instructed. When asked if there will be any splits in the Kla Tham Party, Lt. Col. Thammanat assured that there won’t be a single one. He added that discussions have taken place and there is an agreement to act accordingly.

The release of a video clip by Pheu Thai Party Prime Ministerial candidate Chaikes Nitisiri, promising to dissolve Parliament immediately if elected, was addressed by Lt. Col. Thammanat, who stated that he believes all parties know what they should do. His party, for instance, is doing its best, and he will not interfere with other parties.

When asked if he was concerned that the game could be reversed after some people called for a free vote, Lt. Col. Thammanat said, “We respect each party’s decision. We’re only talking about our own party. We won’t talk about other parties.”
