Bangkok: Thammasat Alumni Association under Royal Patronage is set to host the ‘Thammasat Day 90 Years 2024’ event. This celebration will feature a special television program on December 9, 2024, airing on Channel 9 MCOT HD, number 30. Participants are also invited to partake in the ‘Thammasat Day 10 December 2024’ activities, which include a ceremony honoring distinguished alumni and a nostalgic gathering with the university community.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chansilp Treenuchagron, President of the Thammasat Alumni Association under Royal Patronage, announced that the association is preparing a special broadcast for ‘Thammasat Day, December 9’ on Channel 9 MCOT HD. This program, airing from 9:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., will showcase the development of Thammasat University and Thammasat Chalermprakiat Hospital, alongside historical highlights to celebrate the university’s legacy.
The festivities on ‘Thammasat Day, December 10, 2024′, will encompass a full day of events. The agenda includes a ceremon
y to award honorary plaques to 90 alumni recognized for their societal contributions. These individuals are nominated by various Thammasat associations and alumni groups from across the country, emphasizing their commitment to societal welfare and public service.
Morning activities on December 10 will start with a merit-making ceremony and lunch, followed by the ’90th Anniversary Honorary Alumni’ plaque presentation at the Thammasat University Main Auditorium, Tha Phra Chan. In the evening, a gathering at the university’s football field will allow alumni to reconnect. The event’s highlight includes a live group singing session broadcasted via Facebook Live, featuring performances by the ‘Artist, Star, Singer Festival’ and the Suntaraporn Band.
