The 2024 World Youth Weightlifting Championships in Leon, Spain, previously the Thai powerlifting team had a good start, winning 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals from Khemika Kamnerdsri 2 silver medals, 1 bronze medal in the 45 kg women’s category and Narumon Wonghajak 1 bronze medal in the 49 kg women’s category.
The Thai team has a chance to win another medal from “Thanaporn Saetia” in the 59 kg women’s group A, with the snatch technique, calling for 92 kg, 94 kg, and 96 kg respectively, and successfully lifting all of them, earning the first “gold medal” for the Thai team in this event.
Clean and jerk Thanaporn passed the first time with 110 kilograms, the second time called for 113 kilograms but failed to pass. Before coming out to make up for it successfully in the third time with the same weight, the record was 113 kilograms, ranked 4th and moved the total weight to 209 kilograms, receiving a silver medal.
