The Prime Minister visited Mae Sai District to monitor the area’s restoration.

The Prime Minister visited Mae Sai District to assess the situation and follow up on the rehabilitation of areas affected by the floods. Houses are still submerged in mud.

Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, visited the area to assess the situation and follow up on the rehabilitation of the affected areas after the flood at Ban Ko Sai and Ban Pha Chom, Mae Sai Subdistrict, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province.

Most recently, at Koh Sai, Soi 9, the first place the Prime Minister will travel to, officials rushed to scoop up mud to clear the walkway, as well as helping to scoop mud out of people’s homes.

Earlier, while the Prime Minister was traveling, he said that on October 1st, the common areas and main roads would be finished, but it might have to be cleared again. As for the entire Mae Sai area, he asked for another 45 days before it would be back to its original state and ready to move in. However, everything in the house was destroyed, so assistance would have to be provided in this matter.
There might be some houses that have disappeared, which would be serious. If you look at the law, there would be a fair amount of compensation. Therefore, it is something that the government must continue to look into.

The Prime Minister then met with the people to give encouragement and provide financial assistance to flood victims at Wat Phrommawihan, Tambon Wiang Pang Kham, Mae Sai District.
