Thos and Border Patrol Police Collaborate to Enhance School Facilities for 2025

Bangkok: Thos has joined forces with the Border Patrol Police to repair and construct school buildings and residences, aiming to improve the quality of life for students and teachers in Border Patrol Police schools. The collaboration is part of a broader initiative to enhance educational and living conditions for the Border Patrol Police community. According to Thai News Agency, the Government Housing Bank (GHB) and the Border Patrol Police Bureau have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the GHB Cooperation Project, set to be implemented in 2025. This initiative focuses on improving the quality of life, education, and housing for students and teachers at Border Patrol Police Schools, as well as benefiting local communities. The project aligns with GHB's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) mission to support low-income earners and those lacking opportunities, particularly in educational settings. Mr. Kamolpop Virapala, President of GHB, highlighted the bank's commitment as a state financial inst itution under the Ministry of Finance to enhance the lives of Thai citizens, particularly the underserved. Since 2011, GHB has been involved in supporting the construction and repair of school facilities at 39 Border Patrol Police Schools, positively impacting over 5,960 teachers, students, and local residents. The bank's efforts were recognized with the Outstanding State Enterprise (SOE) Award in 2024 for its social and environmental responsibility. The newly signed MOU outlines four key projects: building or repairing school buildings in seven remote schools, repairing residences for 20 student families, improving educational quality through teacher development, and supporting English teaching media for Border Patrol Police schools nationwide. Pol. Lt. Gen. Nitinai Langya-nga, Commander of the Border Patrol Police, expressed gratitude to GHB for its contributions to enhancing the educational and living standards of BPP students and teachers. He emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation between bot h agencies to further reduce social inequality. The signing ceremony for this significant cooperation project took place at the Border Patrol Police Headquarters in Bangkok on July 23, 2025, and is a testament to GHB's CSR policy and dedication to social improvement.
