Lat phrao: Police raided a Chinese call center network in the Lat Phrao area, where they acted as legal advisors to victims, targeting foreigners. Police raided a house in Soi Lat Phrao 3 after learning that three Chinese men, suspected members of a call center gang, were renting the house but rarely leaving. They seized several items, including SIM card boxes, desktop computers, laptops, and 29 mobile phones. The suspects posed as legal advisors to victims of the call center scam, targeting foreigners. However, police believe they received no legal advice and were merely trying to make matters worse.
According to Thai News Agency, a review of the house’s income and expenditures revealed that in October 2024, the group’s first month of renting, they earned 10 million baht. Neighbors reported that the suspects rotated around regularly, with one person staying regularly. The investigation is underway to identify the gang leader.
