Tik Shiro Attends Ceremony to Ask Forgiveness and Pour Water on Deceased Woman’s Corpse.

Bangkok: Tik Shiro and his wife attended a somber ceremony to ask for forgiveness and poured water on the corpse of a 28-year-old woman. They also brought a wreath to express their condolences.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident involved Mr. Sirisak Nanthasen, also known as Tik Shiro, a renowned 63-year-old singer, who was driving a van that collided with a motorcycle. This tragic accident led to the death of Ms. Thianporn, also known as Meji, aged 28, and caused serious injury to Mr. Jakkaphak, or Junior, a 21-year-old second-year student. The accident occurred on Theparak Road, Sukhapiban 5 Road, Or Ngoen Subdistrict, Sai Mai District, Bangkok, at 4:00 a.m. on October 10.

The water pouring ceremony took place at Wat Phra Sri Mahathat Woramahawihan, Hall 4, Anusawari Subdistrict, Bang Khen District, Bangkok. It marked the first day of chanting, attended by the parents, relatives, friends, and acquaintances of the deceased, who gathered in the hall filled with sorrow.

Tik Shiro, accompanied by his
wife, arrived at the temple hall and brought a wreath as a symbol of condolence. The wreath was adorned with flowers and inscribed with the names “Tik Shiro and Phi Aor.” Upon arrival, Tik Shiro entered the hall through the back door to participate in the water pouring ceremony. Before performing the ritual, he paid his respects to the deceased’s parents, expressed his condolences, knelt before the corpse, and poured water on it.

Tik Shiro refrained from giving any media interviews, but he will participate in the first night of the chanting ceremony. He is set to preside over the chanting ceremony daily from October 12 to 14, with October 13 being canceled. The cremation ceremony is scheduled for October 15 at 4:00 p.m. The family has requested privacy, and media presence inside the pavilion was not permitted.
