Chiang mai: Tourists are flocking to Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park in Fang District, Chiang Mai Province, to experience the chilly 13 degrees Celsius temperatures and capture the breathtaking views of a sea of mist and sunrise. This morning’s drop in temperature has made the visit worthwhile for many, as they gather to enjoy the crisp air and picturesque scenery. The journey to the mountain top is described as a rejuvenating experience.

According to Thai News Agency, visitors at the Mon Son Tent Site are treated to stunning views from the Suitang viewpoint, where a sea of mist flows along the mountain ridges like a river. The national park, located over 100 kilometers north of Chiang Mai, offers a variety of accommodation options, including camping grounds at Ang Khang and Ban Lek in the Big Forest. Tourists can bring their own tents for a fee or rent from the park, with additional equipment like blankets and pillows available for hire. Entry fees vary, with a charge for both vehicles and individuals.

Phu Ruea National Park in Loei Province, located 1,365 meters above sea level, is another popular destination. Known for its high cliffs and pine forests, the park offers hiking trails and a chance to explore natural rock formations. Tourists gather here to witness the sunrise amidst a sea of mist and experience the 16°C air. The summit is home to Phra Phuttha Na Wa Banphot, a revered Buddha image, drawing visitors seeking spiritual merit and good fortune.
