Bangkok: Tourists flocked to Khao San Road yesterday for the much-anticipated Halloween celebrations. The Khao San Road Business Association organized “Khaosan Halloween 2024: Gathering of Scary People,” creating a lively atmosphere filled with both Thai and foreign tourists dressed as various ghosts, celebrating under the theme “Beauty or Scary 2.”
According to Thai News Agency, the event featured a range of activities, including catwalks, ghost contests, and a scary costume competition. The newly launched song, “The Bangkok KhaoSan Street Halloween,” made its debut at the event and is set to become the festival anthem for future celebrations on Khao San Road.
Mr. Songa Ruangwattanakul, President of the Khao San Road Business Association, shared that numerous shops along the street were adorned with spooky decorations to enhance the festive spirit and draw in crowds. He estimated that over 10,000 tourists participated in the event, with an expected economic impact of 15 million baht circulating through the
local economy.
