Veterans Unite to Support Frontline Warriors and Honor National Heroes

Bangkok: Veterans joined forces to “unite to protect the country,” waving Thai flags and singing the national anthem, sending their hearts to the frontlines and praising the brave warriors who defended the nation’s independence and sovereignty.

According to Thai News Agency, the War Veterans Organization (WVO), led by General Decha Nithit Leungngamkham, Director of the WVO, spearheaded an event that brought together 2,000 veterans from various battlefields. Alongside WVO staff, they united in an effort to protect the nation and pay tribute to the brave warriors, including soldiers, police, volunteer rangers, border patrol police, and civilians, who sacrificed to protect the nation’s independence and sovereignty. The event also recognized the civilians who lost their lives in the fighting along the Thai-Cambodian border. Participants sang the Thai national anthem and waved the national flag at Victory Monument.

The initiative was mirrored by the 27 Regional Veterans Affairs Offices, which organized similar activities simultaneously across the country.
