Vice President of Senate Donates 4 Million Baht for Thai-Cambodian Border Disaster Relief

Chachoengsao: The Vice President of the Senate has extended financial support to assist victims affected by the turmoil in four provinces along the Thai-Cambodian border.

According to Thai News Agency, General Kriangkrai Srirak, the First Vice President of the Senate, presented a donation totaling 4,000,000 baht to Lieutenant General Boonsin Phadklang, Commander of Army Region 2. This donation, contributed by Phra Thep Phawanawachirakun, Abbot of Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan, along with monks, officials, and devotees of Luang Por Sothon, aims to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the unrest in the region. The funds will be distributed among the four affected Thai-Cambodian border provinces.

General Kriangkrai Srirak shared that he made a visit to pay respects to Phra Thepphawanawachirakhun at Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan and was entrusted with the 4,000,000 baht donation. The donation, collected from devotees making merit to Luang Por Sothon, will provide support to the affected people in Buriram, Surin, Sisaket, and Ubon Ratchathani provinces, with each province receiving 1,000,000 baht.

Lieutenant General Boonsin Phadklang expressed gratitude on behalf of the Senate members, emphasizing that the donation will be allocated to the governors of the four provinces to ensure its maximum benefit.
