Hanoi, Vietnam – The Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC) has entered into a significant contract with Roland Berger, a global research and strategic consulting firm, to chart its development path through 2030 and envisioning up to 2035. This collaboration aims to position VIMC as a prominent player in the maritime industry on a global scale.
According to Vietnam News Agency, Roland Berger will develop strategies to enhance VIMC’s business operations. The focus will be on leveraging the corporation’s expertise and forging connections with leading financial, maritime transportation, and logistics entities worldwide. VIMC has urged Roland Berger to integrate information technology applications, particularly green technologies, to foster faster and more sustainable development. VIMC stands as a maritime industry leader in Vietnam, managing 15 seaports and one river port, encompassing 75 wharves over 13,571 meters. This accounts for over 26% of the country’s total wharves and nearly 17% of the total length of wharves nationwide. Additionally, VIMC’s fleet includes 64 vessels with a combined deadweight tonnage of 1.45 million, representing about 20% of Vietnam’s national fleet.
