Vietnamese, Lao Women’s Unions Collaborate Across Areas.

Dien Bien: The Women’s Union of the northwestern border province of Dien Bien recently hosted a significant conference with visiting representatives from the Lao provinces of Phongsaly, Oudomxay, and Luang Prabang. The meeting aimed to evaluate achievements, identify challenges, and share lessons learned in national development and women’s empowerment initiatives. Participants also explored strategies to overcome operational obstacles and assessed the progress of their ongoing 2022-2024 cooperation document.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the conference served as a platform for the women’s unions to strengthen cross-border collaboration and enhance their collective impact on society. The discussions emphasized the importance of continued partnership and mutual support in addressing common issues faced by women in both countries.
