Jakarta: The Thai national under-23 football team, known as the 'War Elephants', is undergoing rigorous training as they prepare to face host Indonesia in the semi-finals of the ASEAN Championship. Scheduled for July 25 at 8:00 p.m., the crucial match will take place at the Gelora Bung Karno training field.
According to Thai News Agency, "Coach Wang" Thawatchai Damrong-Ongtrakul is leading the training sessions, which focus on physical recovery and addressing past game deficiencies. The team is working diligently to improve their performance following the initial two games in the championship.
"Coach Tee" Sasom Pobprasert, the head coach of PT Prachuap, emphasized the need for a strategic shift. He believes that under Coach Wang's guidance, the team should adapt their playing style rather than follow the aggressive tempo set by Indonesia. Despite the challenges, Coach Tee is confident in the players' abilities to deliver an exciting match against their semi-final opponents.
