“Warawut” receives ten thousand baht handout for vulnerable groups and disabled people who have obstacles.

Warawut’ admits there are obstacles in distributing 10,000 baht to vulnerable groups and the disabled, stresses that they must confirm their rights by 3 Dec 2024, thanks ‘Prime Minister Yingluck’ for seeing its importance, urges people to use it to see its value, do not spend it on alcohol or lottery tickets because it is the people’s taxes.

On September 28, 2024 at The Street Ratchada shopping mall, Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, gave an interview about obstacles in distributing money for the economic stimulus project in 2024 through state welfare cardholders and the disabled, ‘10,000 baht to revive the economy’, which was given to vulnerable groups and the disabled first, in the past 3 days. Of course, there are problems, but there are some problems of incorrect information, bank account names not matching their names, but they are only a small number. That is why we give our disabled brothers and sisters until December 3, 2024 to register and correct their inf
ormation with the Department of Social Development and Human Security, so that they can proceed by December 3 to maintain their rights to receive 10,000 baht. However, we would like to tell the media that every baht and satang that our disabled brothers and sisters and the vulnerable groups receive is money from the people’s taxes, not free money, not money that just floats out of nowhere. Therefore, please use this 10,000 baht wisely, to develop the economy of Thailand together. Don’t just spend it all on buying alcohol or lottery tickets. Please use it to benefit the economy at our community level.

The reporter asked how satisfied he was with the government’s policy implementation that vulnerable groups and the disabled received it first. Mr. Varawut said that he would like to thank Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, for seeing the importance of vulnerable groups, especially our disabled brothers and sisters as the first group. And of course, this money is not the money of any one person, but
is the tax money of our brothers and sisters who have paid for it and given it to our disabled brothers and sisters and the vulnerable groups. Therefore, he would like to thank you for seeing the importance and giving the disabled and vulnerable groups the opportunity to receive this right first.
